Working professionals looking to develop their English and communication skills

After registration, participants on this course programme will receive:

  1. a pre-course questionnaire to fill out which will help us to learn more about your background and your learning objectives
  2. information about York to help you prepare for your time with us here in the historic city of York

At the end of the course, you will:

  • improve your spoken confidence and fluency
  • improve your communication skills at work
  • improve your interpersonal skills

The Silver course involves a pre-course telephone call with the participant to define their learning needs. Based on this analysis, a detailed training proposal is then created, followed by 2 hours of pre-course online training to prepare themselves for their time on the course in York. At the beginning of the course, the trainer will sit down with the participant and complete a Profiler of their skills matched against their learning objectives to create a baseline of their current performance in English. Participants will also receive some executive coaching to help develop their international collaboration skills. At the end of the programme, a detailed course report is then produced by the trainers, as well as an opportunity for the participants to then document any progress in their performance based on their Profiler.

Participants in this programme will also have the opportunity for 2 hours of follow-up online training as part of their course package
